My stylist Anna was wonderful, she was very pleasant and easy to talk to. Unfortunate that the owner does not allow alcohol in this location, I was very much looking forward to a mimosa while I got my blowout, and was getting even more excited about it seeing the silhouettes of champagne glasses on the windows, but my excitement was shattered when I was told they only serve water and coffee at that particular location due to the owner's personal beliefs. If I would have known that she was forcing her choices on paying customers, I would have spent my money elsewhere.
It is always a pleasure to have my hair done there. There are two people who I would recommend Tiara and Shanice Both are excellent and very professional
Since I have relocated to Baltimore, it has been The place of preference.
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my 10 years of going to Drybars. Avoid this location at all costs & go to Towson instead!
Edited to add: I arrived a little late because of an accident that happened in front of me. My appt was at 4:15 and I arrived at 4:30pm on the dot (there is footage to prove this). The late window is 15 mins so at 4:31pm it ends not at 4:30pm. It’s semantics at that point. They claimed they wouldn’t have time to do me because they had two appts at 5pm and they would have to take those clients late but even if I was 1min or 5 mins late within my window they would’ve taken the other customers late. The manager, Kenya, who I spoke with because the front desk lady just didn’t feel like speaking with me when I was asking about other times, was absolutely rude and needs a refresh on customer service manners. Just got lie after lie the entire time. Once was told I can be seen at 5:45pm then that changed to 6pm then when the 5pm person came 20 mins early I asked if I could be seen after and she’s like yes that will still be 6pm (the math doesn’t math when appts are 45mins). She should not be a manager. Listen to the primary other reviews here - quality is bad all around. I didn’t read the reviews until I came to leave mine but I thank God this happened because I’m certain they would’ve done a bad job based on the reviews. Don’t come to this Drybar location.
Are you a person with textured hair? Do you enjoy having it ripped out in chunks by a comb attachment to a blow dryer? Do you want to be the ONLY person leaving with semi wet trashy looking hair? If so this is completely the place for you. My stylist was rude, crude and aggressive. She made faces behind me as if there wasn’t a mirror I could see her in. She also dropped the comb attachment on the floor and didn’t even clean it off before using it to rip some more hair out of my head. My hair wasn’t even dry and looked trashy. When I asked about her using a brush she rolled her eyes looked at another stylist and rolled her eyes again. Paying $55 to look a mess is ridiculous. I am so sorry I didn’t walk in with perfectly straight hair . I am sorry I thought you were a professional. I am so sorry I thought you could be a stylist and do your job.if your hair has any texture at all. Don’t come here they probably will rip your hair out too.
I made an appointment at Drybar for a wedding. I wanted a simple blow-dry with curls. I left looking like Shirley Temple....It was really bad. I had to go home, shower, and redo my hair before the wedding. I did not want to embarrass the stylist in the shop, so I quietly paid and left. I immediately called the salon to express my concern over the phone. The receptionist told me that the manager was unavailable but she took down my information. I waited for a few days and did not receive a call from the manager. I called back and the manager was unavailable again. The receptionist gave me the manager's email address, so I sent an email, which bounced back. I am sure some of the stylists are great - my stylist was not. And the management has proven to be less than stellar. Do your research and choose the right stylist! .... Don't blindly make an appointment.
